Apartment 'Shades of Grey'

With a focus on different shades of gray, a 250-square meter show apartment 'Shades of Grey' was created on the edge of Shanghai's pulsating city center. Sophisticated living scenarios are shown in the modern, green 'CEG Schwarzwald’ site, embedded in a green area of 20,000 trees. The identity architects from the Ippolito Fleitz Group used finely coordinated gray tones throughout the apartment – from the kitchen block through rugs to spacious sofa landscapes – to create a relaxed and calming atmosphere.

Delicate looking furniture, such as the 'Jaan Living' sofa and the 'Votteler Chair' from Walter Knoll, partners high-grade materials, such as marble, dark woods and glass walls. Small, colored highlights in the form of cushions, porcelain and works of art are cleverly used to set different accents. As an elegant apartment, 'Shades of Grey' exudes serenity and balance. With a view of the city skyline, it offers the unique synthesis of an urban lifestyle with an awareness of healthy, sustainable living. An innovative project – from the initial idea to the individual interior.
