Success of first DESIGNWEEK holds promise of more to come

Seven brands, five showrooms, one week – boundless potential. The success of the inaugural DESIGNWEEK, held from June 6-13, 2021 in Baden-Württemberg, is a sign of much more to come from a partnership that brings together Walter Knoll with fellow south-west German interior brands Draenert, Freistil Rolf Benz, Kettnaker, Object Carpet, Rolf Benz, and Schönbuch.

Our Shared Vision

Our shared vision is not only to showcase new products and celebrate furniture made in Germany, but also to highlight our common values and passion for excellence in design. DESIGNWEEK 2021, which attracted more than 200 professionals from across Germany as well as Switzerland, the Netherlands and beyond, is our first step as we join together to further strengthen our presence on the world stage.

As part of the event, which generated a very positive response from 80 individual groups of mainly retail professionals, we opened our Herrenberg headquarters, providing an exciting alternative to the usual furniture fairs, which are currently on hold. This allowed visitors to enter into our world, and to enjoy a holistic brand experience during a deep dive into the history, craftsmanship and excellence of Walter Knoll.

A Holistic Brand Experience

Guided personally through the headquarters over the course of several hours, guests were able to witness in person how our furniture is made by hand. It is here that the finest materials are cut, sewn, and upholstered, as dedicated experts craft our timelessly modern designs – the very definition of Made in Germany. Dedication to quality is tangible at every point of the journey.

In addition, DESIGNWEEK 2021 invited attendees to experience the soulful softness of our new Ishino sofa and armchair series, and the unique beauty of additions to our Legends of Carpets collection.

Our striking Black Edition of modern icons was also revealed for the first time at the event.
